OPERATING ROOM – RN – FULL TIME

Specialists Hospital of Shreveport, a leader in advanced technology in the fields of orthopedic & spine surgery, pain management and physical therapy, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our OR team. Registered nurse to be present and circulate for every surgical event in the hospital.

RN-MED/SURG-FULL TIME-DAYS

This position is a full time day position. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation and evaluation. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Licensing required. Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

RN-PACU- PRN

All patients who have been subjected to general or regional block will be cared for post-operatively by a registered nurse who is qualified and competent to provide such care.

SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST – PRN

A surgical technologist, under the guidance of the RN, will prepare supplies, equipment and instrumentation for each surgery performed at the Hospital. The Operating Room Technician (ORT) will assist the surgeon and his assistants within the sterile field. The ORT will also maintain facility inventory and be responsible for the decontamination and reprocessing of the operating room and surgical instrumentation.

RN – POST SURGICAL ORTHO/SPINE – FULL TIME – NIGHTS

This position is a night position. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation and evaluation.
