Orthopedic Specialists of Louisiana is delighted to have Shreveport’s own, Andrew Patton, MD, join their team After completing medical school at LSUHS-Shreveport, Dr. Patton went on to his orthopedic residency at University of Texas- Galveston and recently completed his sports medicine fellowship at University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Born and raised in Shreveport, Dr. Patton is excited to return to the Ark-La- Tex and begin his practice. He believes one of the most rewarding aspects of his field is having the ability to treat patients either surgically or nonoperatively and helping them return and achieve their desired level of function no matter what their age or activity level.
Dr. Patton and his wife, Suzanne, are the proud parents of two young boys.
“A lot of patients think that sports medicine is only treating athletes, but anything can be a sport. A lot of what we do at Orthopedic Specialists of Louisiana is try and return a patient’s function and whether that’s the weekend warrior that’s trying to get back in the gym or an older patient that looking to maintain their independence. So, that’s what we do at Orthopedic Specialists of Louisiana…we treat all patients, of all activity levels and help them return to their level of function.”
